Factors in Choosing Lace Closures

A lace closure is vital to women who want to give their hair a more vibrant appearance. It provides extra shape and volume to natural hair by adding a seamless extension. However, with lace closure choices as numerous as the types of natural women’s hair out there, how do you even decide which kind of lace closure will fit you?
The hair density is one important factor to consider in selecting your ideal closure. As much as possible, the density of the prospect closure must be nearly identical to that of your hair in terms of percentage. For example, light-density closures are between 80 and 90 percent identical to natural hair, while extra-heavy density closures have nearly two times the thickness of your hair.
Sometimes, select areas of your head may be marked for the proper closure densities. For example, you want a medium-density closure (100 to 120 percent) only for, say, the temples and sides of your head. Your stylist will help figure if the placement’s appropriate for the density, or vise-versa.
Lace closures can provide an extra wow factor in your appearance if you prepare well in acquiring them. Choosing the proper density and placement can cover the right spots in your scalp.
